Britney Hairston is deeply committed to her family and her faith. She is known for her big heart, genuine care for others,
and ability to always see the best in every situation. She is dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of those around her. She is affectionately called Lady B by her church family.
Lady Hairston is a native of Martinsville, VA. She is the daughter of Mr. Stephen Spencer and Mrs. Felicia Shelton. As a child, her parents instilled the importance of showing compassion and empathy towards others, and the value of being resilient.
Lady Hairston is a graduate of Bassett High School in Henry County, VA. She holds an associate's degree in Applied Science from Patrick and Henry Community College, as well as a certificate in Office Assistant and Clerical Studies.
As a child Britney attended Mt. Pisagh Joyland Temple. She was later a member of Reach Out Apostolic before joining Bethel Way Church of Christ in 2021 with her husband.
Lady B is fully committed to supporting Pastor Hairston in his ministry and the First Church of Jesus family. She views each member as a source of inspiration. She has been instrumental in planning events that will benefit the youth at FCOJ and the community as a whole, including the annual Christmas Toy Drive and Back to School Celebration. Recognizing the power of prayer, she held sessions with the Women's ministry where they decorated and exchanged "Prayer Jars" which were used to submit prayer requests for each other.
We are blessed to have have her as our First Lady.
