A native of Chatham, Virginia, Bishop Campbell has spent over 26 years preaching the Gospel of Jesus
Christ with 20 of them pastoring Bethel Way Church of Christ, Inc. Like Nehemiah, he is not afraid of the assignment which God has placed in his hands to accomplish. The foundation for his pastoral passion
is rooted in his love for all people regardless of race, creed, origin or denominational affiliation.
Bishop Campbell is a product of the Pittsylvania and Henry County School Systems. He later earned an Associate Degree from Patrick and Henry Community College and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Radford University.
Bishop Campbell answered his call into the ministry under the leadership of the late Apostle Joseph H. Adams in 1998 and was later ordained an Elder in 1999. In 2004, Elder Campbell was called to pastor the Bethel United Way of the Cross Church now called Bethel Way Church of Christ, Inc. In 2011, he was consecrated as Bishop in the United Way of the Cross Churches of Christ organization where he served as Recording Secretary, Program Chairman, General
Secretary, Second Vice-Presiding Officer and Minister of Music for over 19 years.
With the sincere belief that the church must minister to the total man, Bishop Campbell has implemented programs and ministries such as The Shepherd’s Corner which feeds and clothes those that are in need, Marriage Ministry, Prison Ministry, and Education Ministry just to name a few.
In addition to pastoring, Bishop Campbell is a member of the Danville Chapters of NAACP and Southern Christian Leadership Conference (aka SCLA). He is also an active member of the Virginia Organizing where they promote social and economic justice for all Virginians. In addition, he voluntarily served on the Democratic Election Committee and the Boys and Girls
Club of Danville, Virginia.
Bishop Campbell resides in Danville, Virginia with his wife of 29 years, LaShawn B. Campbell who also serves alongside him. She is dedicated to supporting his vision and the mission of Bethel Way Church of Christ, Inc.
